REPORTS TO: Board of Directors
JOB PURPOSE: The President/CEO is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company by working with the Board of Directors and management to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies. The President/CEO will oversee and also be responsible for supervising the CFO and corporate functions including operations, finance, accounting, investor relations, public filings, legal and human resources. Corporate functions will support the MLM and any/all other Division(s).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the organization's strategy and long- and short-term plans to ensure that the mission and core values of the company are put into practice. Will require development of new R&D and Business Development functions, integrated with and supporting the companys long-term plans.
Drives the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and overall business goals and objectives. Closely manages growth and ensures company profits and assets are invested appropriately to increase shareholder value.
Represents the organization to customers, shareholders and analysts and assumes fiduciary responsibility for protection of interests of shareholders. Communicates clearly with new and existing investors in quarterly calls and in-person meetings. Sets sales, net income, and market value goals, communicates guidance, ensures company delivers appropriate, timely, accurate results.
Presides at Board Meetings and over management meetings
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience, Competencies and Education
Required experience is 10+ years as CEO or President with full P&L responsibility. At least 5 years of experience should be in a publicly-traded company.
Successful start-up, expansion, acquisition or (post) turnaround experience is required, with a strong focus in sales-and-marketing management experience, including international expansion, sales and operations.
Appropriate industry experience in consumer products, nutritional supplements or health/wellness products is required.
An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and professional image. Willingness to explore new business opportunities while aggressively growing, supporting and protecting the current high-growth business.
A strategic visionary with sound analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.
An organized and self-directed individual who is decisive and possesses a big picture perspective.
Post-graduate degree in relevant field.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Ability to effectively communicate with various publics (ie Board of Directors, Management Team, Incumbent and Prospective Shareholders, Industry Analysts) on controversial or complex topics.
